API (Application Programming Interface)
TechInterface that allows two software systems to communicate with each other through standardized requests and responses. REST APIs are the de facto standard for modern integrations.

Data Mesh
DataDecentralized architectural approach that treats data as a product. Data responsibility is distributed to domain teams, with federated governance and self-service infrastructure.
Data Product
DataData asset managed as a product: has owner, consumers, SLA, documentation and quality metrics. It is discoverable, accessible, trustworthy and interoperable.
E
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
BusinessIntegrated system to manage core business processes: sales, purchases, inventory, production, accounting, HR. Odoo is a modular open-source ERP.

Governance (Data)
DataFramework of policies, processes and roles to ensure data quality, security and compliance. Includes ownership, access, lifecycle and audit.

KPI (Key Performance Indicator)
BusinessMeasurable metric that indicates success in achieving strategic objectives. Must be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound.

Microservices
TechSoftware architecture where the application is composed of small, autonomous and independent services that communicate via API. Enables scalability and independent deployment.
MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
BusinessMinimum version of a product with sufficient functionality to validate the idea with real users. Goal: rapid learning with minimum investment.
O
OKR (Objectives and Key Results)
BusinessFramework for defining and tracking objectives. Objective = what we want to achieve (qualitative), Key Results = how we measure success (quantitative, 2-5 per objective).

SaaS (Software as a Service)
BusinessSoftware distribution model where the application is hosted by the provider and accessible via web. User pays subscription, not perpetual license.
SLA (Service Level Agreement)
BusinessAgreement that defines expected service levels: availability, performance, support. Includes measurable metrics and consequences in case of non-compliance.
W
Webhook
TechAutomatic HTTP notification mechanism: when an event happens in system A, an HTTP request is sent to system B. Enables real-time event-driven integrations.
